Our Five Step Method Leading to a Diamond of Remarkable Quality
Our knowledgeable buying staff goes on several buying trips to Tel Aviv each year. During this trip our staff examines each piece of the rough diamond individually and essentially make a blue print for that diamond. This process decides the shape and size of each diamond, then polishing process begins. this First, “windows” are polished on the girdles of the rough crystals in order to find any flaws, stones or knots. Then the designer marks the stone to indicate where it should be cut.
The large rough is often cut to create several diamonds then, the stones are "sawed" based on the measurements indicated by the designer. The "Sawer" operates several machines carefully examining each stone being cut through a lens until the cutting is complete.
These pieces are then placed into a “Bruting” machine, which shapes each stone into a circular shape, removing the edges of the original rough diamond.

The final cutting phase is conducted by our team of highly skilled diamond cutters and polishers who “block” and “brillianteer” each diamond. "Blocking" is the process of creating the 8 main facets on the the crown and pavilion of a diamond. "Brillianteering" creates the remaining facets and the star facets on the crown- revealing the diamond's fire and brilliance. It is during this process that a diamond’s true shape is reveled.
Once polished and cleaned the diamond is ready to be evaluated for certification by a reputable lab. Each stone is graded on cut, color and clarity, carat weight is determined.
